Scenario Planning Backed by 18+ Years of Experience

Nardia Haigh has spent nearly two decades researching, teaching, and applying scenario planning across corporate, nonprofit, and public sector contexts. She holds a PhD in Business Management from the University of Queensland, Australia, where her doctoral research focused on business strategies in response to climate change.

She is the author of two books on scenario planning. Scenario Planning for Climate Change, published by Routledge, is the first book to provide a detailed method for climate scenario analysis and won the Book Award of the Organizations and the Natural Environment Division of the Academy of Management. Facing Uncertainty adapts the scenario planning method for personal decision-making and life transitions.

Her consulting work focuses on climate-related scenario analysis, helping organizations meet the disclosure requirements of IFRS S2, CSRD, AASB S2, and related frameworks, while building strategy that goes beyond checkbox compliance. She also works with leadership teams on broader organizational strategy, and with individuals navigating significant personal uncertainty.

Nardia has been cited and interviewed by journalists and publishers including Forbes, Fast Company, and The Seattle Times, and her academic work has appeared in outlets including the California Management Review and the Journal of Business Ethics. Her work on climate scenario analysis has been cited in official guidance published by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
